During the past couple of months Freedom Of Creation has been producing some high-end 3D printed marine models for established companies such as Sealevel and start-up companies like Wi Dizyn.
Our expertise in design for 3D printing allows us to make up to 85% of the models with the different 3D printing techniques. This includes the main components such as the hull, superstructures, transoms but also the finer details like fenders, railings, propellers, antennas, furniture and bells. (more…)
Freedom Of Creation was approached by NEXT architects to create an exact replica of an existing roof structure for a scale model. NEXT Architects needed to include the existing building structure in their model. But how to create such a complex structure quickly and precisely?
3D printing was the answer, the parts were drawn by NEXT architects and produced in one of our Laser Sintering systems. Each of the beam sections is only 1mm in thickness. Combining the 3D printed parts with the traditional maquette built by Made by mistake, NEXT Architects created a fabulous model.
Freedom Of Creation designed a scale model for the new housing of the Helen Dowling Institute, an institute supporting people with cancer. Julian Sing came up with the idea to turn the scale model into a interactive piece, where the packaging of the model functions as a base to place it on.
The scale model serves as a giveaway for all parties involved in the realization of the project, a small series of 100 pieces has been produced with selective laser sintering technology.
Freedom Of Creation collaborated with Deltasync the past weeks to design a one-off interactive model to display Deltasync’s floating community developments.
The FOC imagineering team, directed by Julian Sing, created an interactive model to bring the Deltasync vision into reality. A 3D printed building was mounted over an 81cm High Definition LCD display, which looped a motion graphics piece showcasing moving water, text, visuals, entertaining scenery and audio effects. Not only does the screen attract attention, it also allows the client to display more content than a static model ever could, with the added advantage that the content can be dynamic or even updated over time.
The movie shows how FOC Imagineering team managed to combine the rippling animated water, graphics such as flying birds and floating clouds into one continuous animation, which tells the viewer what Deltasync is developing.
To enrich the experience further we added in the sounds of a busy city, people chatting, mobile phones ringing, cars honking and loud boat horns. (more…)
