Freshfiber Iphone cases launched at 270+ Apple stores

    FOC FOR 22Nov2011

Freshfiber was founded as a collaboration between Freedom Of Creation and two entrepeneurs, Chris Dijkhof and Jurjen Rolf in 2009. Since then we have collaborated in developing and commercializing countless 3D printed products for the consumer electronics market. At first mainly focusing on smart phones from Apple, Samsung and Blackberry. Due to the success of the cases in several high-end retail stores worldwide, Apple has now decided to launch the products at all Apple retail stores across USA and Canada. This marks a great milestone for us on pushing 3D printed designs into the mainstream retail.

The first covers, which are now available at Apple retail stores, will be gray Doublemesh and Weave, Designed by Janne Kyttanen

Bijenkorf goes 3D printing with Freedom Of Creation

    FOC Home 26Oct2011

During the 3 crazy annual sales days at the biggest department chain in the Benelux, Bijenkorf gets a smell of 3D printing at their 9 locations.

This is the first time 3D printers have been sold at consumer markets with this kind of exposure, so it was exciting to be the first ones making it all possible. 1.2 million people visited Bijenkorf during the last weekend of September and 3 million people visited the online store. We compiled our experience in this short video above.

Freedom Of Creation takes 3D printing mainstream

    FOC Collection 27Sep2011

Until now 3D printing has been considered expensive and only available to a selected few. Freedom Of Creation plans to change this by selling it’s design collection as well as 3D printers at 9 Bijenkorf department stores in The Netherlands during the “3 Dwaze Dagen”.

Some products of the collection will be 3D printed live on the spot during these 3 crazy Bijenkorf annual sales days. The department stores which are part of this event are Amsterdam, Amstelveen, Arnhem, Den Haag, Eindhoven, Enschede, Maastricht, Utrecht and Rotterdam.

The Bijenkorf website “3 Dwaze Dagen” is the most visited website in the Netherlands during these 3 days, with visitors numbers climbing over 3 million. It is not expected to be more quiet on the floor either since an estimated 1.2 million people will visit these sales days.

Freedom Of Creation collaborates with Bits from Bytes, a 3D printer manufacturer from the UK, in order to bring the technology into people’s homes. It will be the first time 3D printers have been commercialized by a large mainstream department store chain in the world. The special Bijenkorf introduction price for the 3D printers is set at €1247,- which enables anybody to become the designer they always wanted to be.

Please follow this link for the opening times, addresses and additional information about “Drie Dwaze Dagen”.
